Gilles in late August

Some exclusive goods from the last 2 weeks of Giles PEterson's Worldwide on BBC Radio 1:

Mizell Brothers - NR Time
"Proto broek beat" as the man says. This is amazing, really ahead of its time. Though I understand the Mizell Brothers added the vocal and trumpet - and extended this never released track recently. The Mizell's of course, were responsible for many of the jazz-funk boogie jams of the mid 70s - Donald Byrd, Bobbi Humnphrey, et. al. A new record featuring their greatest hits, as well as some reworks, is being relreased on Blue Note September 13th.

Heavy - Wonderlove (Jazzanova mix) Jazzanova do not mess around. They flip the NYC pop-soul duo's Wonderlove into a full flown anthem, including a trademark temp change.

Domu ft. Tiombe Lockhart - It's You (Bling 47 mix) Nuff said... this is just a snippit though.

Dwele - A Pimp's Dream The new Dwele is shaping out to be worth the wait. This is an early highlight.

Video: Nostalgia 77 - HOPE

One of the most amazing video's I've ever seen. A gorgousely choreographed montage completely gleaned from vintage Americana television and newsreel - to a devastating, yet HOPEFUL effect.
